During the weekend my friend and I spent in Cape Cod, we went to Nauset Light Beach. What we didn’t know at the time is that we were actually looking for Nauset beach and not Nauset light beach. My friend had heard that it was a really beautiful beach, so we decided to stop there in order to take some pictures.
When we got there I was very surprised to see people in swimming suits on the beach and even a couple of them in the water. I was wearing a scarf and a sweater and I was starting to get a little cold with the breeze blowing on the beach.
I was surprised to see that dogs were allowed on a leash. The beaches where I used to go in Spain did not allow dogs, even with a leash.
I had to take a picture of the “Caution” sign which warns you not only about currents but also about sharks. My only beach experience so far had been in Spain, France and a few days in Virginia. This was the first time that I was seeing a sign about sharks. I will think twice before I go into the water next summer.
Overall this was a pleasant beach, but not my favorite of the trip. As I said earlier, we realized the following day that we had been to the wrong beach. I guess we will just have to go back to see Nauset beach.
Have you ever been to Nauset light beach? Or to Nauset beach? Which one do you like better?
