Hello everyone and welcome to my weekly wishes where I set up goals for the upcoming week. You can participate to this Link-Up on The Nectar Collective.
This past week was very productive. I have started to work as a digital media freelancer, and I am starting to get into a routine (fingers crossed). In addition to that I have also been brainstorming a lot on this blog. I feel like it’s all over the place, and I am trying to make it more focused. It’s a tedious process and I know I need to be patient with myself; it is not something I am going to figure overnight.
In the past few days I have been participating to the Instagram Challenge created by Melyssa from The Nectar Collective (needless to say that I am a fan of her blog). This challenge celebrates Spring and you can find all the pictures under #TNCLovesSpring. I have to admit that I have missed a couple of days, but it has allowed me to discover a lot of inspiring people. Here are a few of my entries:
As you have probably noticed I have been incorporating more illustrations on the blog. I’ve enjoyed getting back into drawing and finding time to be creative. Now the tricky part is finding the right balance on the blog between photography and illustration. As I mentioned last Monday, last weekend I went to a Blogger Boot Camp workshop. It opened my eyes on many issues I was facing with my blog. This has raised many challenges but it was very useful and now I know what I need to work on.
Speaking of illustrations, this Sunday we had a gorgeous day here in Boston: full blue skies, not a single cloud on the horizon. The Husband and I headed to Cambridge for a visit to my new favorite store: Blick. If you are into arts and crafts, you will find happiness in this store. I got a couple of art supplies that I needed and enjoyed the nice weather.
Last week my goals were:
To keep brainstorming on the purpose and concept of this blog.As I mentioned, this is a work in progress but I am starting to see more clearly. To switch hosting providers.I actually ended up deciding that I will not be switching hosting providers. When I started looking into it, I realized that most of the other providers do not have as many perks as the one I currently have. In addition to that the whole process of moving my website was a mess.
- To keep doing my coding lessons. I didn’t do these as much as I would have liked. I need to make sure I find the time this week.
For this week my goals are:
- To install Disqus once and for all. I was holding off in case I changed hosting providers, but now that I have decided I won’t, I will be installing this commenting platform.
- To figure out the right balance between pictures and illustrations.
- To do at least 2 coding lessons this week.
What are your goals for this week? Are you participating to the #TNCLovesSpring challenge?
