I am very lucky that I get to live near the city of Boston where the blogger community is very active. I went to a couple of their events a couple of years ago, but at the time I didn’t have a car and I lived a lot further from the city than I do now. Since then, I hadn’t been able to make one of them. When the Boston Bloggers announced their End of Summer event on their Facebook page, I was really excited. I was finally able to go.
When I got there, I recognized a couple of faces from the events I attended back then. I was a little intimidated at first. Everyone seemed to know each other and conversation groups were quickly forming. However, within a couple of minutes someone included me in a conversation, and from then on I was talking to everyone or listening to fascinating conversations. Time flew by and before I knew it it was the end of the event. Now, I can’t wait for the next one to see all these wonderful ladies and to meet more bloggers.
If you live in an area where there is an active blogger community, I would highly suggest you join in. Not only is it fantastic networking, but you will feel twice as inspired. I left the event with only one thing in mind: I want to dedicate more time to my blog. I feel so inspired by all the girls I spoke with (it seems the community is mainly feminine), that I have a thousand ideas of blog posts.

On a side note, the event was at the Barcelona Wine Bar on Tremont St (South End) and the food was amazing! It was frustrating not being able to have cheese (I don’t eat dairy anymore), but they served paella which was absolutely phenomenal. I am half Spanish and have spent most of my summers growing up in Spain, so I know a good paella when I taste one. This one was freaking amazing, so if you are looking for a good tapas bar in the Greater Boston area I would highly recommend this one!
