Today I want to share with you one of my favorite spots to get coffee or lunch in Boston. The place is called “Thinking Cup” and there are three different locations in Boston: one in the Commons, one in the North End and one in Back Bay. I have only been to the one in the North End and I love it. It has a very rustic atmosphere with brick walls and chalk boards. It reminds me of some cafés in Paris; maybe that’s why I like it so much. It’s one of those places that does coffee art. For those who don’t know, it’s when they make pretty drawings with the foam of the coffee.
The menu is quite extensive and you will find many options for breakfast or for lunch. I really like their sandwiches. They are not too big, but still quite filling. I also like that their philosophy is “helping sustain a green environment”.
I have tried the BALT (Bacon, Avocado, Lettuce, Tomato) but I ordered it without the aioli. I thought it was delicious and the ingredients seemed to be very fresh. I have also had the mocha which was very good. On the other hand the chai latte I tried was a little watered down, so I would not recommend it, but maybe it was an exception. From the reviews I found on Trip Advisor, it seems that the coffee there is really good. I still have to try something from the bakery, but my friend had a cookie and she said it was really good.
I love that I found this place by accident and now it is one of my favorite spots in Boston, especially during these cold months of winter.
So if you are looking for a place to have coffee or lunch in Boston, give the Thinking Cup a try and let me know what you think.
