I love photography and I love making videos. To be honest, I am kind of a camera geek. I thought it would be fun to make a little video sharing with you, my favorite photo and video gear.
Photo and Video Gear Mentioned:
iPhone 6s Plus: I chose this phone mainly for the quality of the camera. I am always looking for inspiration and love to be able to capture images or things that catch my eyes at any time.
Sony RX100 M3: This is my latest photo gear investment, and probably what I use the most. The image and video quality on this little machine are outstanding. It’s so small that I can always carry it with me. You can set it fully to manual and play with settings you would find more on a DSLR. This also makes it the perfect travel companion when I can’t carry my DSLR.
Canon Rebel T5i / 700D in Europe: This is my trusty DSLR. I got it back in 2014 and have been using it since then. It is an entry level DSLR with not a lot of whistles, but it is perfect to get started on a DSLR. It takes very good photos and videos. However, the sound is not the best on video. I would highly recommend investing on an external mic if you are going to use a Canon DSLR for video.
Canon 24mm f2.8: One of the two lenses I use the most. Since the T5i has a cropped sensor (APS-C) this would be the equivalent of a 38mm on a full frame camera. This makes it the perfect lens (in my humble opinion) for traveling and street photography. It’s a pancake lens, which means that it is extremely compact and it also is very, very affordable (around $150)
Canon 50mm f1.8: Another very affordable lens ($125) and the first one I invested in. This is my go-to lens for portraits and product photos. The low aperture helps get those very nice blurry backgrounds. It will help get the main subject of the photo pop.
